If anyone has found a more realistic feeling and sounding electronic
substitute for a real grand piano (ie for classical music) than
a Kurzweil MicroPiano and a Fatar 900 88-key controller, in the
same price range, I'd love to hear about it.
This combo can be had for $1,000 - 1,100. Probably less if you
find them used. Action is a little light, but pretty reasonable.
I like the Roland RD-500, but its quite a bit more expensive.
In my opinion, Kurzweil and Ensoniq's offerings don't come close
in this regard. I did my last investigating over a year ago on
this, so maybe something new is out?
